The Icon: Glove or Nappa Leather Catsuit Stylish, iconic, and utterly breathtaking. Our Leather catsuit combines the finest British tailoring with the ultimate in supple, cupro-lined lambskin. This is not a "costume"—it is a second skin, engineered to fit every curve, body length, and arm size with precision.
The Physics of Movement Leather has no natural stretch. Normally, a close-fitting waist and chest would prevent you from raising your arms. We solve this through a secret pattern-cutting method that provides maximum freedom of movement with minimum extra leather. It is the perfect trade-off between a sleek silhouette and wearable comfort.

As always your workmanship shines through. The suit fits just the way I wanted it. Lovely soft leather. Obviously not cheap but you get what you pay for at the end of the day. Thankyou.
When will I get it?
When will I get it?
Our tailoring team crafts all the larger items, like leather jackets and coats, by hand. With growing demand and a limited number of skilled artisans, turnaround times range from 2 to 12 weeks (or longer as orders increase).
Turnaround factors:
- Complete details provided: If your order includes all necessary info (e.g., measurements), it joins the queue in numerical order. You’ll move up as earlier orders complete—faster if fittings ahead of you are signed off quickly, slower if they require multiple rounds.
- Fittings needed: If your order requires fittings or additional details, it joins the queue, and we’ll send fittings ASAP for you to review at home. Progress depends on how quickly you return measurements or approve fittings.
Estimated timelines:
- Fastest: 1-2 weeks from final measurements or approved fitting (happens 50% of the time).
- Slowest: Up to 2–3 months as demand grows.
- If the wait exceeds 3 months, we pause new orders to catch up.
- Beyond 6 months, we close the order book until we’re current again.
Note: We can’t guarantee exact dates unless discussed beforehand, but we’ll always strive to meet special requests. For the quickest delivery, order today—your item could ship in as little as 2 weeks or take up to 2 months, depending on the queue.
Master Pattern Drafting & Heritage (Since 1999)
Master Pattern Drafting & Heritage (Since 1999)
The Original & The Only.
Since 1999, Lux Tenebrae has been the world's first and oldest brand slamming out premium leather clothing in genuine glove leather—long before the copycats arrived. We don't "buy in" patterns or outsource the fit. Every single garment starts at the bench in our UK studio.
The Ultimate Fit Architecture.
Jules has personally hand-drawn every single pattern in our archive—thousands of designs honed over decades to achieve a fit that off-the-peg brands simply cannot match. Whether you are Off-the-Peg, Made-to-Measure, or Full Bespoke, you are benefiting from a master-tailoring process designed specifically for the unique drape and stretch of glove leather.
Built for Immortality.
We don't do "fast fashion." We do slow, defiant craftsmanship using premium, sustainable leather. Because we make everything ourselves, we can build to almost any size or specification. This is luxury built to last a lifetime, designed to move with your body, and guaranteed to get better with age.
Workshop Fit & Tailoring Policies
Workshop Fit & Tailoring Policies
1. Standard Off-The-Peg Items (Classic Black Leather)
If you order a standard stock size (e.g., a Size Large Shirt or a standard 34B Bra) in our classic black leather and the fit isn't right, you may return it to us in pristine, unworn condition.
To secure a different size, simply place a brand new order on the website. For your returned item, you can choose:
- A Full Credit Note: Issued for 100% of the item's value to apply directly to your new order.
- A Refund: Issued back to your original payment method, minus a 4.5% processing fee to cover non-refundable banking and Shopify transaction fees.
⚠️ Exclusions: Coloured, white, and perforated leather items are strictly Final Sale. Any order where the "Special Instructions" box was filled out or custom dimensions were emailed is classed as a personalised item and is completely non-returnable. International clients are fully liable for all return shipping and outward postage costs.
2. Off-The-Peg Items (Using Stored Patterns)
For returning clients ordering standard garments built from a stored bespoke pattern already on file, your item qualifies for our Foolproof Fit Guarantee.
- If the finished garment does not match the exact specifications of your stored pattern, we will rectify or remake it immediately at our expense.
- Because these garments are handmade exclusively to your historically recorded proportions, they are Final Sale. They cannot be returned for a refund, credit, or exchange due to personal weight or body shape fluctuations since your pattern was cut.
3. The Bespoke & Custom Guarantee
The "Foolproof" Fit
Our Full Bespoke service (+£200) is designed for absolute peace of mind. Your final leather garment is a direct, verified duplicate of your approved cotton fitting garment (toile). If the final leather piece deviates from that approved fit due to a studio error, we own it entirely—we will adjust or remake the item at our expense until it matches your specification perfectly.
Precision Adjustments (Made-to-Measure)
For Made-to-Measure items (+£100) built to the specific body measurements you provide: if the fit needs a minor post-delivery tweak, we are here to help. While we frequently handle minor, simple adjustments at no cost, significant alterations or adjustments required due to inaccurate measurements provided by the client will be billed at our standard studio bench rate of £40 per hour plus raw materials.
Bespoke Hygiene Protocol
To maintain strict studio hygiene, physical mock-up fitting toiles or prototypes for bras, briefs, or body-contact panels cannot be sent back to the workshop once tried on. Fitting assessments for intimate apparel are conducted safely and exclusively through your digital photographs and email feedback.
4. The Fine Print (Our "Active Studio" Policy)
Custom leather tailoring is a collaborative, time-sensitive journey. To keep Jules’ bench moving predictably and ensure every client receives their luxury garments on schedule, we require active client participation.
- Measurement Deadlines: You must provide your required body measurements within three months of placing your downpayment. If measurements are not received within this window, the studio space is forfeited. We will close the active order and issue a store credit note for the value of your payment so you can return to the queue when you are ready.
- Fitting Feedback: When the studio dispatches a bespoke cotton fitting toile, you must provide your fit feedback and requested adjustments via email within two weeks of delivery.
- The "Blue Moon" Clause: If a commission falls stagnant and we do not hear from you for four weeks following a fitting dispatch or feedback request, the commission will be deemed abandoned and automatically cancelled. We will issue a store credit note for any remaining balance, strictly minus the cost of raw materials used and all bench work already completed (calculated at £40 per hour).
