  • Premium Finish: Fully lined for a smooth, comfortable fit and a superior hang.

Made-to-Order Specifications:

To ensure your skirt is tailored to your exact proportions, please provide the following measurements in the order notes:

  1. Waist: Your natural waistline.
  2. High Hips: 3" (7.5cm) below the waistline.
  3. Mid Hips: 5" (12.5cm) below the waistline.
  4. Full Hips: The widest point of your hips.
  5. Hip Depth: The distance from your waist to the fullest point of your hips.

Lead Times: Handcrafted in our UK studio. Typically dispatched within 4 weeks. Please consult our current before finalising your order.

When will I get it?

Our tailoring team crafts all the larger items, like leather jackets and coats, by hand. With growing demand and a limited number of skilled artisans, turnaround times range from 2 to 12 weeks (or longer as orders increase).

Turnaround factors:

  1. Complete details provided: If your order includes all necessary info (e.g., measurements), it joins the queue in numerical order. You’ll move up as earlier orders complete—faster if fittings ahead of you are signed off quickly, slower if they require multiple rounds.
  2. Fittings needed: If your order requires fittings or additional details, it joins the queue, and we’ll send fittings ASAP for you to review at home. Progress depends on how quickly you return measurements or approve fittings.

Estimated timelines:

  • Fastest: 1-2 weeks from final measurements or approved fitting (happens 50% of the time).
  • Slowest: Up to 2–3 months as demand grows.
  • If the wait exceeds 3 months, we pause new orders to catch up.
  • Beyond 6 months, we close the order book until we’re current again.

Note: We can’t guarantee exact dates unless discussed beforehand, but we’ll always strive to meet special requests. For the quickest delivery, order today—your item could ship in as little as 2 weeks or take up to 2 months, depending on the queue.

Master Pattern Drafting & Heritage (Since 1999)

The Original & The Only.
Since 1999, Lux Tenebrae has been the world's first and oldest brand slamming out premium leather clothing in genuine glove leather—long before the copycats arrived. We don't "buy in" patterns or outsource the fit. Every single garment starts at the bench in our UK studio.

The Ultimate Fit Architecture.
Jules has personally hand-drawn every single pattern in our archive—thousands of designs honed over decades to achieve a fit that off-the-peg brands simply cannot match. Whether you are Off-the-Peg, Made-to-Measure, or Full Bespoke, you are benefiting from a master-tailoring process designed specifically for the unique drape and stretch of glove leather.

Built for Immortality.
We don't do "fast fashion." We do slow, defiant craftsmanship using premium, sustainable leather. Because we make everything ourselves, we can build to almost any size or specification. This is luxury built to last a lifetime, designed to move with your body, and guaranteed to get better with age.

What if it doesn’t fit? - Returns Policy

Standard Off-The-Peg (Black Leather)
If you order a standard-sized item (e.g., a Size Large Shirt) in Black Leather and the fit isn't right, we offer a size exchange remake or a credit note. We will use your feedback to hand-make a replacement that fits perfectly, and the original item will be moved to our Outlet.

  • Note: International clients are liable for the shipping costs of the replacement item.

Coloured leather items are strictly non-returnable.

Off-The-Peg (Stored Patterns)
For returning clients using a stored bespoke pattern: your garment is built to the exact specifications already on file. These items qualify for our "Foolproof Fit" guarantee. If the garment does not match your stored pattern, we will rectify it immediately at our expense. Because these are handmade to your unique specifications, they are Final Sale and cannot be returned for a refund or exchange due to weight or shape changes.

The Bespoke & Custom Guarantee

The "Foolproof" Fit.
Our Bespoke service is designed for absolute peace of mind. Your final leather garment is a direct, verified duplicate of your approved cotton "toile" fitting. If we make an error, we own it—we will adjust or remake the item entirely at our expense until it is perfect.

Precision Adjustments.
For Made-to-Measure items built exactly to the measurements you provide: if the fit needs a minor tweak, we are here to help. We often handle small adjustments at no cost; however, significant alterations are billed at a studio rate of £40 per hour.

The Fine Print (Our "Active Studio" Policy)

Custom tailoring is a collaborative journey. To keep Jules’ bench moving and ensure every client receives their garment on schedule, we require active participation:

Measurements: Please provide your measurements within three months of your downpayment. If measurements aren't received in this window, we will issue a credit note for the value of your order so you can return when you are ready.

Fitting Feedback: When we send a bespoke cotton fitting, we need your feedback within two weeks.

The "Blue Moon" Clause: If we do not hear from you for four weeks following a fitting, we will consider the commission cancelled. We will issue a credit note for the remaining balance, minus materials and work already completed (calculated at £40/hr).
