About Lux Tenebrae
We love making corsets.
We have no High Street shops or mass production-lines, instead we simply offer our time, skill and sublime leather for your unique item.
Each Lux order is handmade by us in our Bristol studio, allowing us to customise every item that we make, and take into account your particular measurements. Size and gender are never an issue.
We are proud of our flexibility in method, and will always work with you to get a perfect fit. Each piece we make is a work of art, discreetly signed by Jules, and due to high demand we now have a waiting list for our work, with options for Express Service if you wish.
We design our corsets to be the ultimate in comfort and support, and you will find it easy to wear a Lux corset all day, and long into the night. When you buy from Lux, you are purchasing the very best materials, the time of your personal corsetiere to discuss your needs and draught your pattern, and the experience of our skilled seamstresses to produce your leather corset.
With due care and attention your Lux Tenebrae corset will last a lifetime. This is slow fashion at it's best, and we are committed to this alternative approach to clothing. Lux is fuelled by green energy from Ecotricity.
If you don't see what you want, please ask as we'ed be delighted to make it for you.
I hope you enjoy browsing around our website, any questions? We're only
an email, text or phone call away.

About Jules
I've always been passionate about design and craftsmanship. I started to sew around age 5, and as a teenager I would spend hours stitching a new design by hand. I still love this work and I find the delicate and intricate art of a corsetiere is food for my soul. I am self taught, coming from a career in graphic design.
I've channelled all of my passion into my label Lux Tenebrae, which has been online since 2001.
I adore my job, for me, designing and making corsets is incredibly exciting and fulfilling, and occasionally I still have to be ordered out of the studio to eat or rest. New designs still wake me from slumber, as does the anticipation and pleasure of a particularly complex piece of corsetry.
I'm always excited and happy to be making a new corset and I'm always happy to talk to you about it by phone, email or face to face - I relish the chance to share my enthusiasm and joy.
Recently I've developed a beautifully simple method of taking a cast of your body so that I can make sure the waist reduction is in the perfect place in relation to your ribcage and hip girdle. It does mark a departure from my past work because I can only do this in person, rather than mail order, even so, this method has quickly become my own preferred way to work.
